The perfect word
Is always there
When I need it
Silence too
When I’m ready
He is too

I hunger Lord to be with you
Your presence permeating all I do

An inkling of things to be
Unity of soul that’s free
Communion between you and me

They’re fertile ground
For planting seed
To bring forth life
Meet nations need

Know you not
That they will grow
And bring forth seed
For good or no

So make a choice
To do your part
Godly seed from
You impart
And change the course
Of life on earth
Overcome darkness
Harvest worth

I missed our time this morning Lord
And went about my day
The things that are before me
Are more like work than play

The holy God is with me
How do I connect
That I might enter to abide
Avoid today a wreck

Something elusive
But always a joy
Well worth the effort

Presence -- to build others

Its all about presence
You have it to give
You can withhold it
Or help others to live

Presence is deeper
Than just in the mind
It lives in the soul
Release spirit – unfold

We see it in some
Who are great on the earth
They focus their presence
Draw forth one’s great worth
And when you are with them
There is no one else
There presence enfolds you
Enlarges yourself

Give out your presence
Be free with the gift
Learn to release it
So others may live

Learn to attend
To that one in place
Before you this moment
Be full in their face

Thankfullness

This morning I turned my thoughts toward thankfulness
Instantly God’s presence came
As I touched the thankfulness within
The sense of his presence increased

Be encouraged, for I am no one special
God loves you just the same
None of us is perfect except the son
So forget you falling shorts

Grasp hold of the blessings you have been given
Thank God
Dwell on his goodness
Dwell on his love

Be thankful for life
His presence is with you

Yes, even now

Finding where we fit

Here I am upon the earth
Sent to do a thing of worth
And the things I’m meant to do
Are perfect size for me not you

I poke around, work here and there
Learning what might be my share
Finding place for me to do
The things that match, are good, are true

So puzzle be this time on earth
To find the place where my great worth
Finds its place releasing mirth
My work completed on the earth

Inkeling of things to come

On the horizon
The tip of a dream
The sum of all goodness
Can almost be seen

The bits come together
Making a whole
The good things I’ve dreamed of
Begin to unfold

The hand that is hidden
Is guided by love
The plan that’s unfolding
Ensured from above

Sure there’s free will
Choices are ours
Yet how do we know

Invitation to communion

We have an invitation to come before the Lord (Hebrews 4:16). My experience, when I act on it, is an open door.

I am God’s creation
Placed upon the earth
Spirit, soul, and body
To him I have great worth

Communion with the most high
Is not beyond our grasp
Walking in the garden
In touch with life that lasts

Come with me my child
I’ll teach you ways to be
Beyond the grasp of darkness
With me forever free

I sense a deep connection
A knowing I’m a part
The God of all creation
Is resident in my heart

If your thoughts could be heard.

I've read accounts of heaven. Some propose that communication is through thought. Not a foreign concept in science fiction and even eluded to in scripture concerning Jesus: (John 2:24-25)"He knew all men... He knew what was in man."

Suppose you knew that your thoughts will become an open book.

There will come a time
When your thoughts
Are free
Abel to be heard
For all to see

So practice now
Within your mind
To think thoughts
Holy, nice and kind

Thoughts that bless
And lift up
Thoughts that share
The holy cup
Thoughts that send
A word of health
Encouragement
And of wealth

Begin you now
This noble quest
For thoughts that are
The very best

For you don’t know
That even now
The thoughts you think
Are seeds that
Words do plow

For mighty power
Is in your tongue
To transform thoughts
To actions done
