Hilton Head Sunrise - Remembering a Quiet time

I miss the time
For writing verse
In touch with the king
As we converse

Feeling no pressure
Of time or place
Suspended in
A field of grace

Nothing to fear
Or care to take
For all is ordered
In his wake

For all is ordered
In his wake

Rest in flow

Help me Lord this day
That work might seem as play
That I may flow with you
As part of all I do

Communion with the king
Cause my heart to sing
Lifted up to you
Brings life to all I do

Where has the time gone
It just keeps flying by
I’d like to stop for a moment
Relax, relate, reply

Relax from the pressure of life
Relate to those nearby
Reply to the life within
Flow with the God inside

Traveling this week --

Much to do to get ready. I'll bet I'm not the only one who can relate to this.

Time to be quiet
To listen today
To push back the frenzy
Hold the list at bay

The mind says get busy
There is much to be done
The heart knows communion
Will keep you at one

At one with the universe
At one with your heart
At one with creation
Knowing your part

Little more upbeat

Look inside
What’s going on
Think of good things
Drawing you on

Things to be learned
Things to be done
Walking with others
Very fine ones

Think of the joy
When things come together
Sharpen each other
Get better and better

Think of the times
When challenges huge
Felt overwhelming
Tempted to kluge

Remember those times
With no way to pass
They did open up
Like very long grass

So hold on securely
The hope to complete
There will be a finish
With you on your feet

Changing of the age

Been a challenging week. Began trying to get a better understanding of my utilization of time. Ended realizing that I really do need a breakthrough in "resting" in the course of work.

There must be a breakthrough...

Its time for this age to end
And the age of the glory begin
For I’ve done all the work to be done
Now Church manifest My son!

We see pockets of grace
Where glory shines forth in this place
How do we enter in
To the Church wide victory and win?

In my head the victory is clear
You rebuked them for having fear
You said greater works we should do
And walk on the earth like you

Your agenda it must be
Perfect training only from thee
But there must be a breakthrough too
A quantum step to pass on through.
