Continues to be complex

Who am I
You would think I know
Been living with me
Years in a row

In recent months
I’ve learned many things
Some that make
My heart sing

At the core
Is where I am
Believe it is
Eternal’s plan

Yet wrapped around
Are many voices
Great influence
On daily choices

In this latter
Stage of life
The work has shifted
Never light

More complex
It seems to be
To do the work
Aligned with me

So this I do
And this I don’t
Without more help
I guess I won’t

If there is
A universal plan
It makes some sense
To be who I am

An expression of
The God of love
Who made me thus
His plan to trust

So take my hand
Let’s find our place
And win together
The great race.
