Oops!

I did it again
It’s hard to believe
Screwed up big
Need grace to proceed

There is a risk
In life on earth
You hurt the ones
You most give worth

Lots going on

Many loose ends
What do I feel
How do I prepare
For days to be real

Age comes along
An end is for sure
What is right action
What life is in store

Pick up my pen
Words do come out
Stream of consciousness
To glory do shout

Not very smart
In the things of the world
Yet that’s where we live
Till ages unfurl

Exhorted to wisdom
As serpents on earth
Not being so wired
Can act like a jerk!

The "still small voice."

I’m in the world
If I believe there’s a plan
There must be a place
To apply my hand

The God of all things
Is efficient and kind
Effective and loving
Wise and sublime

Would he allow
His resources to waste
By withholding direction
When they are asking for grace

He has made us so different
In heart and in face
The skills that we have
Range all over the place

Deep inside
He gave us a voice
Connected to him
With the power of choice

Quiet it is
Can be lost to the din
But those who do heed it
Experience him

So get in the flow
Do pay the price
Acknowledge the knowing
Heed his advice.

Meeting the requirements

My coach has provided evidence that I generally turn inside for answers. That, in it self, is not a bad thing, it can be a good thing. The issue he poses, is that I miss receiving helpful incite from others. What I am missing he calls "external referencing." He says research has shone that external referencing is a prime determinant of resilience. Where "resilience" is related to how well we deal with change. In common language you might say that the people who talk things over with others are better able to adjust to change.

In this context I was considering some potential changes to how I was approaching my business.

Requirements

What are the requirements?
Things that need be done
To carry out the business
Not to lose the fun
To make a contribution
While flowing in your knack
Moving always forward
Not needing to look back
Free from things that pull
Your nature from its place
Free to do the work
You naturally embrace

Alone it never happens
By your-self it can’t be done
It takes a breadth of skills
That seldom rests in one.
