Why are we here?
What is our worth?
Clear is the purpose
For life on the earth?
We look at our life
Examine our ways
Leaves many questions
For the ancient of days
What will you believe
As origin of all
An act of creation
Or a random atoll
I found a book
It serves me well
It tells of a story
Of heaven and hell
It gives me a way
To frame all there is
To put in perspective
Gives answers when quizzed
The rules of engagement
Are perfectly clear
Faith is required
For a functioning ear
Believing comes first
Before you can know
The truth in the book
